What are virtual employees and the virtual C-suite?

INSTRAT3601 min read

A virtual employee is a configured AI role with a job to do: an objective, a defined set of data it may use (its data contract), and approval thresholds that say what it can do on its own versus what needs sign-off.

The virtual C-suite

Above the individual roles sits a virtual C-suite and an AI chief of staff that coordinate work across roles — setting priorities, routing proposals to the right human owner, and keeping objectives aligned.

They propose; you approve

Virtual employees draft and recommend continuously, but any action with a real-world side effect stays proposed until a named person approves it. Read-only analysis and drafting run freely; execution is the gated moment.

Configuring them

You set each role's objective, data contract, and thresholds during setup, and adjust them any time. Lower-risk roles can run on a lighter touch; high-stakes ones always require approval.
